Altintas Shipyard is second shipyard of Altintas Group that has strong focus on 3 main business (Mining, ship building, international trade). At the beginning of 2004 government took a decision to establish shipyard area (4,5 km length 1,300,000 m ) at Altinova/Yalova.
During this decision Altintas Group have taken leader role. Project of new Shipyard Area in Altınova, Yalova at Izmit Bay Region which embodying many of the major Turkish Shipping Companies as partners in this Vital Project. Our President of Board of Directors Mr.Hakkı Kan is president of Yalova Shipbuilder Association. At the beginning of 2005 after some academic reports the site was identified as suitable for shipyard region.
After filling of sea and preparation of ground the facilities of the shipyard started to build at 2006. First ship was cut at February of 2008. First launching ceremony was middle of March of 2009.
Altintas Shipyard has 70,000 m open production area and 10,000 m closed workshops. This area is one of the biggest area in Yalova Shipyard region. Production capacity is 40,000 dwt/year. Length of slipway is 165 m breadth is 72 m. Shipyard has two crane (2*75 tones). The production of 2 LPG vessels, 2 chemical tankers and one general cargo are continues. Although we are new shipyard, we are producing turn key LPG ship. Furthermore there is a design company (NAME) embeded in Shipyard. It can design from initial to detail.
Our shipyard is fully well equipped with all the relevant machinery and facilities. (CNC plasma, 450 ton capacity press for shapping sheet metal, welding machines, forklifts, many mobile cranes one is 275 ton, compresors, generator etc.)
After further investment our service & repair facilities started at the middle of 2009. Furthermore we are planning to have dry dock for repair. Feasibility and investment plan for is continue. In addition to physical investments, ERP and Cad System investment are in progress.
