Description

1978: The shipyard was founded in Haliç, Istanbul to construct boats in steel, aluminum, and composite.

1984: Moved to its current location in Tuzla.

1997: Acquired by Turkey’s largest conglomerate Koç Holding Started developing its technical capabilities by keeping abreast of technological advances.

The 4420 DWT’ Laila Theresa, built that year, became the first IMO2 chemical tanker with stainless steel cargo tanks.

2003: The 36 meter long superyacht Jasmin was launched in 2002, and delivered in 2003.

The 36 meter long superyacht Jasmin, was launched in 2002, and delivered in 2003. Jasmin was selected by International Boat as one of the best 10 superyachts of 2003.

The 36 meter long superyacht Private Lives was launched and delivered.

2005: The 37 meter long superyacht Caressa K was launched and delivered.The chemical tanker, Guyenne was delivered.

2006: The 34 meter long superyacht was launched and delivered.

Caressa K was awarded the International Design Award in 23-43 mt. category by the International Superyacht Society (ISS) in 2006.

The chemical tankers, Bergen Star and Kunsvik, were launched and delivered.

2007: RMK Marine signed a cooperation agreement with Oyster Marine to build superyachts for Oyster.

RMK Marine was awarded the contract to build 4 Coast Guard Search and Rescue Vessels for the Turkish Coast Guard, making this project the largest military contract undertaken by the private industry in Turkey.RMK Marine launched the third 19.000 DWT chemical tanker, Barbarica RMK Marine launched the first and second of the four tugboats that it is building for Tüpraş. The chemical tankers, Chantaco and Chiberta were delivered.

2008: As the biggest vessel of its kind, the Multipurpose Offshore Construction Vessel, North Sea Giant's steel cutting ceremony took place.

RMK Marine delivered the tugboats, T.Damla 2, T.Damla 3 and T.Damla 4, that it constructed for Tüpraş.

Barbarica was delivered whose construction started in 2008.

The Coast Guard SAR project was officially commenced with the participation of the Prime Minister of Turkey.

The tankers, T.Sevgi and T.Gönül built for Tüpraş were launched.

T.Sevgi was delivered.

2009: T.Gönül was delivered.

The infusion technique, used by few shipyards in Turkey and in the world, has been successfully executed for the Oyster superyachts, making it the largest amount of resin infused in a single shot; applied to the Guinness Book of Records.

The Multipurpose Offshore Construction Vessel, North Sea Giant, was launched and delivered. 

The 52 meter long sailing superyacht Nazenin V, was launched and delivered.

2010: Nazenin V was awarded with Judges Commendation in the Best Sailing Yacht above 45 meters category inWorld Superyacht Awards

The first and second vessel of the Coast Guard SAR project were launched. RMK Marine was the mair sponsor for the 3rd Naval Systems Seminar.

2011: The first vessel of the Coast Guard SAR project successfully completed its first sea trial.

The third vessel of the Coast Guard SAR project was launched.

The first of the series of superyachts built for Oyster, Sarafin, was launched and delivered.

The 45 meter long high technology superyacht, Karia, was launched and delivered.

2012: RMK Marine became the gold sponsor for the World Superyacht Awards to held in Istanbul for years 2012 and 2013.

The superyachts, Sarafin and Karia, were awarded with the Judges Commendation in their respective categories in the World Superyacht Awards 2012. Also, Sarafin and Karia were nominated as finalists for the Showboat International Design Awards 2012.

 The third vessel of the Coast Guard Search and Rescue project, TCSG Yaşam, was launched.

2013: Two of the Coast Guard Search and Rescue Vessels, TCSG Dost and TCSG Umut were delivered.

Coast Guard Search and Rescue Vessel “TCSG Güven” has been delivered.

2014: Coast Guard Search and Rescue Vessel “TCSG Yaşam” was delivered.

 “T.ESRA”, first of the two world’s greatest asphalt tankers having independent cargo tanks built by RMK Marine was launched.
